School Children Imprisoned

Children will be kept in school on a lock down say police in Northumberland.
As school closing time approaches in Rothbury, school children remain in their classrooms under police guard, Helen Carter emails:

Six police vans are guarding Dr Thomlinson CE voluntary aided middle school in Rothbury as the 210 pupils remained inside, following a sighting of a man who bore a strong resemblance to Moat, jumping on haystacks nearby. Armed police were searching fields as the net closed in on the fugitive gunman.
It's now becoming trial by media with Sky news Kay Burley calling Moat 'a murderer'.And in one news report a man hunt on a shoot to kill basis.
This comes after Police asked Moat to come in as his life still has a future.

  1. A total overreaction by the media and the police. It seems that the police here don't want to be accused of being lazy - a la Derrick Bird - so they've armed themselves up and are up for a riot.

The media, especially Sky are in the area, assessing each moment as if it was going to be the last. According to Kay Burley the police are using their sirens and blue flashing lights - whilst there is no other traffic in a 2 mile radius, the police having closed the area - locals being called at risk - at risk from who?? WTF, this is appalling.

The media and police give the impression that they are happy for a 'shoot-out' whilst locals have been taken over and denied access to their homes. Fascist state, no more no less
