And there you have it:Government.

In the beginning there was no government. There was just groups of people who basically got on with each other and traded the things they had with others for the things they needed. It was a good system until one day a gang came along and robbed some of them. So they got together and decided that instead of getting killed or injured they would pay the gang. The gang thought this was a very good deal as now they did not have to do anything at all. They just ate ,drank and made merry. As time went by and there was more people they would go out and kill a few until they got the same deal. But one day a new gang came into the area and wanted the same deal.Now this caused a problem as the first gang had took their share and all they had left was what they needed. But the gang gave them the choice of living a bit longer with out their stuff or dying now and losing it anyway, it was no choice at all.
Then one of the group said "I know let us go to the first gang and offer them more to kill the second gang."But what will we give them?"said someone.We will tell them the stuff the second gang took was for them. They all agreed to do this and the leader went off to see the first gang.
The first gang were furious the stuff saved for them had been stolen by the second gang and they went after them straight away. Both sides lost a few men and many got injured. Then they decided to call a truce and talk."Look there's a lot of groups around now to go around".Said the leader."Agreed" Said the second leader.
So they decided that they would divide the spoils. This went on for many years until every one in the first gang became fat and lazy.The second leader said "So are the people.They have no worries with us looking out for them".So if we call ourselves the blue gang, no lets change gang to society,the blue society and the red society.We can take turns of running the show,take as much as we like for each other. Then swap around in say four years. Much nodding and agreeing followed this statement.
So the next week the first election was held for the blues and the Reds.
it had been agreed before hand that the blue gang,society.would offer the best deal and consequently they got elected.The people were happy they now had an honest government.The Red gang were happy to laze about for four years and the Blue gang helped themselves to as much as they could get away with.
